5月12日、レノンとオノはEMIスタジオで、3月にハリスンがプレストンと行ったジャム・セッション[注釈 6]の音源のミキシング作業に参加し、拍手をオーバーダビングした。この曲は「Jam Peace」と名付けられ、アーティスト名は「プラスティック・オノ・バンド」となった[注釈 7]。これがバンド名の最初の公式使用であった[6]。

"I Remember Jeep"
The title for "I Remember Jeep" originated from the name of Clapton's dog,[11] a Weimaraner named Jeep who had recently gone missing.[42] The line-up on the eight-minute track was Clapton and Harrison on electric guitars,[43] Billy Preston on piano, Voormann on bass and Ginger Baker, Clapton's former bandmate in Cream and Blind Faith, on drums.[11] Harrison also added effects on Moog synthesizer.[11] Inglis comments on the jam's similarity to Cream's songs, describing it as a "musically sophisticated fusion of jazz/blues tempos within a contemporary rock format".[24] The main session took place at Olympic Sound Studios on 29 March 1969, shortly before Harrison started production on Preston's first Apple Records album, That's the Way God Planned It.[44] On 12 May that year – at which point the track was titled "Jam Peace" – Harrison, Lennon and Ono overdubbed handclaps at EMI Studios, and Harrison added the Moog part live as the final mix was being done.[45][nb 4]
